His and Her Card Sets Featuring Altenew Academy Techniques
Hello Hello! I am sharing two gift card sets created using my favorite Altenew products and the techniques I learned in a few Altenew Academy classes !
Let’s get going!
For my feminine card sets I chose techniques I learned in Easy Die Cutting Techniques. All About Layering, and Clean and Simple Boutique Cards.
I chose to create a set of hnd stamped note cards that wold work for any occasion and that had a simple, elegant feel. I started by cutting card bass, panels, and creating envelopes using bright white heavyweight cardstock. I wanted to add a bit of drama, so I laid the card panels out and gave them a splatter of black ink
Next, I went through my stash of Altenew layered flower stamps and created a rainbow of flowers with my Altenew Crisp Dye Inks. I wanted a rainbow color scheme for the card set and mixed with some green leaves, they looked amazing!
I fussy cut my flowers and then assembled my rainbow flower card set, complete with an envelope ready for mailing
I like to keep my packaging simple, so tying my cards with a fun ribbon and placing them in a simple kraft gift bag works for me!
Now on to the “his” card set
For this card set, I chose techniques from Clean and Simple Boutique Cards (loved that class!), Easy Ink Blending Techiques, and For The Guys.
I started the same way-with card bases, panels, and envelopes created with heavyweight white cardstock. I chose a more masculine color pallette with shades of grey, blue, green, and brown. I inked each panel and then stamped a tone on tone pattern on top using second generation stamping for a subtle detail to the background.
I then stamped my image on white cardstock for a darker, focal image and die cut the image. I used foam squares to give the main image some dimension and prominance and adhered it over the top of my inked background.
Stamp Set Used-
This one might be my favorite…it reminds me of the look of a deep, rich suede!
For packaging I used some bakers twine and a mini clothepin to gather the cards together and then found some recycled packaging to hold the cards in. I often recycle packaging from purchases or gifts to use again!
Thank you so much for sticking with me to the end. I hope you enjoyed these fun his and her gift sets.
Have A Lovely Day!
